Needs, decisions, partners, offerings, events, and tasks give current cooperation a practical place to develop and continue. A Team can enter through an immediate need, a contribution, an approaching activity, or a decision that needs context.

These four ways of engaging with Mother Board Apps can be explored in any order.
AdoptersRecognize an opening for a Mother Board App in the teamwork happening.
Adoption begins with the Team’s own purpose and work. People can identify whose conditions and responsibilities an App would serve, what work is being carried, and which entry point would be useful. Interest does not establish a decision, membership, or assignment.
ArchitectsConfigure a recognizable environment around a Team’s purpose and work.
Mother Board Architecture connects Communications, Planning, Organizing, and Administration with the Team’s actual roles, information, capacity, relationships, decisions, resources, and records. Configuration preserves the Team’s language and distinguishes confirmed arrangements from suggestions or open questions.
AdvocatesConnect people and contributions so the App becomes useful in practice.
Champions can explain the work, prepare participation, connect relevant people, and maintain arrangements needed for use. Advocacy represents actual contributions and interests without assigning authority or speaking for others without agreement.
ApplicationsUse and continue a Mother Board App as a functional incubator.
An App can hold current Needs, Decisions, Partners, Offerings, Events, and Tasks alongside orientation and operating arrangements. Connected records let the Team use the incubator for present work and preserve context as cooperation develops.
Types of Cooperatives
Six recognizable application families.
Each family can take different forms across industries, places, and Teams. Its configuration reflects the actual people, work, and agreements involved.
Worker CooperativesWorker voice, ownership, business preparation, and democratic governance.
Worker-members participate as workers and owners. An App can support workplace conditions, business capacity, relationships with customers and partners, and the decisions and records that sustain member control.
Resident Association CooperativesBuilding or neighborhood life, services, representation, and continuity.
Residents can coordinate needs, meetings, collective services, and a shared voice within an existing building arrangement. This family does not itself require resident ownership of the property.
Producer CooperativesIndependent producers share economic functions while retaining their identities.
Joint production capacity, common facilities, distribution, purchasing, and member agreements can become visible and manageable across participating producers.
Housing CooperativesResident ownership, occupancy, affordability, and property stewardship.
An App can help members prepare ownership decisions, coordinate building operations, maintain occupancy and financial records, and steward property over time.
Shared-Services CooperativesCommon operational support for independent practices or organizations.
Members can share scheduling, bookkeeping support, procurement, systems, and service coordination while preserving the independence of their own practices.
Multi-Stakeholder CooperativesDistinct participant groups share systems and responsibilities.
Representation, joint decisions, contributions, service relationships, and accountability need to remain understandable across the different member groups.
